WHD is looking for a Marketing Manager to join us at our Cologne headquarters to develop and deliver innovative marketing campaigns for our flagship events, CloudFest and MSP GLOBAL.

Core Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Marketing to develop the event marketing plans and budgets for CloudFest and MSP GLOBAL to achieve each event’s attendance goals
  • Execute multichannel event marketing campaigns across all channels and seek innovative ways to attract our audiences
  • Position our events as the global market leaders for both attendees and sponsors
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of our target audience and develop actionable segmentation, targeting, and personas
  • Create customer journeys, develop lead nurture campaigns, and maximise use of automation where appropriate
  • Track campaign performance KPIs, focused on continuous improvement and measurement
  • Partner with our sponsorship sales team to develop innovative lead generation campaigns that drive new business and strengthen existing relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver events that blow people’s minds

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For

  • Proven track record in a similar role: 2-3 years’ experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Data driven, understanding of segmentation and personas
  • Social media and paid marketing experience
  • Use of WordPress, Google Analytics, Linked In; HubSpot is a plus
  • Strong measurement skills and strive for continuous improvement
  • Great communication and exceptional copywriting skills
  • Extremely organised and accountable
  • Awesome team player with excellent stakeholder management skills

To strengthen our Finance team, we are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys helping to shape structures and taking on responsibility.

Core Responsibilities

  • Independent processing of accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Responsibility for asset accounting and the associated payment transactions
  • Preparation of advance VAT returns and support with annual returns in cooperation with the tax consultant
  • Checking, account assignment and posting of incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Monitoring payment transactions including dunning procedures
  • Support with all other bookkeeping tasks in the area of accounting
  • Communication with tax advisors, social insurance providers and other external partners

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For

  • Education: Completed commercial training – ideally with further training as an accountant, tax clerk or comparable qualification
  • Professional experience: At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in an international environment
  • IT skills: Confident handling of common ERP systems as well as MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Competencies: Analytical thinking, high affinity for numbers, careful and structured way of working
  • Soft skills: Initiative, strong communication skills, sense of responsibility and ability to work in a team

  • Organization and management of hotel allotments and participant bookings
  • Checking registrations in the internal registration tool
  • On-site support as the first point of contact for participants
  • Coordination of travel bookings for speakers, artists and employees
  • Independent support and supervision of individual event formats before and during the events
