Fred-Mario Silberbach has been a police officer at the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) since 1988.
He has worked in several branches, covering terrorism/extremism, fighting serious and organized crime and the staff of the president – he has taken the initiative in fighting cybercrime since 2008 in different specifications, which climaxed in leading two units of investigations on Cybercrime and state, statistics and threat assessment of Cybercrime between 2016 until 2023.
Since January 2024 he has been in charge of leading the subdivision CC1 “strategy and service” within the division Cybercrime (CC) of the BKA.
