Martijn van der Schaaf is a seasoned technology executive, investor and advisor with over 20 years of experience in the MSP and software industry. He founded one of the Netherlands’ first pure-play Managed Services Providers, scaled it into a recurring revenue-driven business and successfully sold it. He went on to create Computicate, a SaaS platform built for MSPs, which was later acquired by Acronis.
At Acronis, Martijn led global product and go-to-market strategy for their MSP portfolio, including RMM, PSA and remote access solutions. Most recently, he served as CTO at Salesbuildr, a CPQ platform for MSPs, where he defined the company’s AI roadmap and prepared the platform for ISO27001 and SOC2 certification.
Today, Martijn is an advisor to the board at Smizer, a Dutch MSP buy-and-build initiative. In this role, he helps shape M&A strategy, support post-acquisition integration and guide long-term value creation. Having built, scaled and exited MSP businesses himself, and now working with others on both sides of the table, Martijn brings a practical and experience-based perspective to what makes M&A work in the MSP world.
