In just twelve years, Daniel Mitchell has transformed Alt-Tech from a passion-driven start-up to a highly-regarded IT and cyber security business with 25 team members. His passion for technology was ignited when he became a civilian member of the RCMP in 2001. He was quickly assigned to major case management, where he received extensive training in communications security. In 2012, Daniel’s service to Canada was recognized when he received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
In 2006, Daniel founded Alt-Tech Inc., providing small- and medium-sized businesses with the technical tools they needed for growth. From design and installation of computer systems and networks, to technology support, to cyber security, Alt-Tech builds infrastructure that moves business forward. In the last decade, the demand for Alt-Tech’s services has allowed Daniel to move into a mentorship and guidance position for his team of over a dozen tech and business experts. He also speaks at local security seminars to teach business owners how to protect themselves.
