CyberArk Identity Security Platform brings a sharper privileged-access angle. CyberArk secures human and machine identities, and extends privileged access management beyond traditional admin accounts into Cloud teams, developers, workforce users, and non-human identities. Attackers don’t care whether an overprivileged account belongs to a person, a script, or an integration—they care what it can reach.
SailPoint Identity Security Cloud is especially relevant where governance is the main headache. Large organizations need to know who has access to what, why they have it, and whether they should still have it. SailPoint’s approach leans into access reviews, policy enforcement, automation, and visibility. For regulated clients, that can turn IAM from a login tool into an evidence engine.
The MSP opportunity: make identity understandable
The mistake is to sell IAM as another technical product. Better: position it as a way to answer simple, uncomfortable questions.
Who can access critical systems? Who approved that access? What happens when someone leaves? Are privileged accounts always privileged, or only when needed? Do machine identities have owners? Can we prove any of this quickly?
That is the conversation customers remember, because it is practical and demonstrates that you understand and care about their security. IAM makes that security more measurable, and measurable security is easier to manage, insure, audit, and improve.
