Research shows MSP GLOBAL attendees develop more partnerships

MSP GLOBAL

Analysis of MSP GLOBAL’s State of the MSP Industry research shows that MSPs who attend this festival have more active partnerships.

Let’s get into the numbers and see what they tell us about the industry’s appetite for partnership, and why face-to-face meetings may be key to success.

MSPs are better together

MSP GLOBAL was created to connect the community, and our regular State of the Industry surveys and reports measure both the appetite for MSP partnerships and the rate of active partnerships.

Analysis of five surveys from July 2025 to July 2026 shows MSPs see the benefits of collaboration as increasingly important:

July 2025July 2026
Important to build trust between MSPs4.214.38
Significant mutual benefits from working together3.974.16
Open to co-selling/partnerships3.924.14
High priority on cooperating 3.743.84
Benefited from ecosystem cooperation3.573.70

In the same period, the proportion of MSPs “not partnering with another MSP or vendor but open to it” jumped from 25% to 36%.

Partnerships between MSPs have many obstacles, from technical complexities to client and revenue management. It’s not surprising then that the proportion of MSPs in regular partnerships dipped in April before rebounding to 26% by July, while those in occasional partnerships fluctuated between 46% and 36%.

So, how to make partnerships shift from theory to practice?

Is MSP GLOBAL the secret to successful partnerships?

We believe that people do better business when face-to-face. So we crunched the [SG1] data, looking for correlations between MSP partnerships and MSP GLOBAL attendance. And guess what? MSPs who came to the event reported significantly higher rates of partnership (regularly or occasionally co-delivering projects with another MSP or vendor) than non-attendees.

It’s an exciting finding, and one we’d expect given all the introductions, networking, demos, and dancing that made MSP GLOBAL 2025 such a success.

But we need to sound a note of caution: Correlation does not mean causation. There could be other reasons that the people at MSP GLOBAL are the same ones who form partnerships. But, deep down, we like to believe we are the secret sauce that helps these collabs come together.

Our message? MSPs that attend MSP GLOBAL have the highest rate of partnering… so register for the October event now and start your partnership success story. Furthermore, Partner with MSP GLOBAL to connect and grow in this competitive landscape.

Cyber is a priority for MSP GLOBAL attendees

Another notable finding is that cybersecurity is a distinctly higher priority for attendees. Across all three waves, 2025 attendees ranked cybersecurity as a top-3 business priority at a higher rate than non-attendees: 33% vs. 29% in January, 38% vs. 34% in April, and 44% vs. 20% in July. The gap widened each wave, showing that MSP GLOBAL’s in-person audience skews toward the segment of the market most focused on cybersecurity. So if you’re a cyber provider, you know where to you need to be…
