Cold, hard data met first-hand experience in the latest Managed Service Providers Community Intelligence Webinar, which turned the spotlight on security and compliance.
The data came courtesy of Dr. Brooke Edge, who shared the latest insights from the Spring 2026 State of the Industry Report. The industry perspective was supplied by Zoë Rose, SecOps Tower Manager, Canon EMEA. Together they explored the report’s findings, including:
- Security is an increasing priority: Cybersecurity is now the second-highest business priority, selected by 34% of MSPs, its highest level to date.
- Demand for cybersecurity comes from client: 41% report increased client demand for security services, and more than a third see it as a competitive differentiator.
- Compliance is a significant opportunity: 29% of MSPs plan to expand Compliance as a Service (CaaS), signalling a clear monetization path.

Four takeaways from the webinar
Embed, don’t bolt on: Security should not sit alongside your services. It should live inside them—technically, operationally, and commercially.
Move quickly on compliance services: With adoption and demand both rising, Compliance-as-a-Service is one of the clearest near-term growth opportunities.
Shift from reactive to proactive positioning: The strongest MSPs are not selling protection—they are selling preparedness, resilience, and confidence.
Invest in clarity, not just capability: As the market matures, the ability to explain your value—especially around security and compliance—becomes a key differentiator.
